The Kenosha Cougars were founded by Eric Daniel in 2006. The Cougars started off as a Zion team but with the games being played in Kenosha it was decided to make a change. The colors were chosen from the combination of Zion Benton High School’s gold and of course the Chicago Bears navy blue. This team was built on a foundation with one value, that separates it from most other semi-pro teams, and that is family first, career second and football third. Throughout the Cougars existence, games have been played on Friday nights for the most part, and practices are held only once a week on Sunday mornings. This value alone has created a team that the players have responded well to. The players have committed themselves to those two days and with this commitment have turned into one of the more polished teams within Illinois and Wisconsin. Like work, you should always commitment yourself 100% while there and your time away with the same commitment. The core values have been instilled that the Cougars will always conduct themselves with professionalism, integrity and have always played the game for what it is, 100% on the field.
